15+ Years in Business Since 2006, MobileComm has grown from an initial Lawrence location into six locations in Wichita. When brothers Hamid and Milad Bakhtiari bought the original MobileComm location, they set out to make the business different from competitors who had expensive, long-term contracts and long wait times. The business model worked, and MobileComm grew. Today, Hamid and his team continue to evolve MobileComm to provide cost effective ways to deliver quality solutions.

Home Grown, Family-Owned
MobileComm is a family-owned and home grown Wichita company. Hamid’s business ventures began at age nine when he figured out how to save his parents money by fixing the family computer. Soon, he was fixing printers and selling refurbished computers, then participating in Youth Entrepreneurs and DECA at North High School, and jumping on his first buyout opportunity at 19 while studying at Wichita State.
The first MobileComm location was an opportunity for Hamid to create a thriving, caring workplace culture that differed from the one he had experienced as an employee at a large retailer. Incentivizing employees to help every customer, taking care of them like family, and giving them something to work for is the MobileComm way.
Now operating with around 50 employees (most of them fluent in both Spanish and English), MobileComm emphasizes employee development. Some MobileComm repairs are very technical, and employees receive intensive training in New York and elsewhere to be able to diagnose and properly fix issues.
MobileComm is about more than fixing and selling phones: it is a place where perspectives are challenged and team members are encouraged to build skills and grow. As a proud member of the Wichita community, MobileComm gives back by supporting multiple youth-oriented charitable causes, primarily funding sports teams, soccer programs and tournaments, and a hispanic club soccer team.
